Our mission is to bring happiness and good health into the lives of others. We hope to accomplish this by promoting five elements: Wellness, Education, Deep Connectivity, Nature Therapy and Green Living. We believe these elements are the ingredients needed to live a healthier, happier life. We encourage a life of mindfulness, play and participation, with the pursuit of a plastic-free planet. Most of us go through life on autopilot. We wake up, brush our teeth, eat breakfast, go to work, drive home, eat dinner, watch television, go to sleep & repeat. Such a routine isn’t living, it’s merely subsisting.
True living is being present in every moment — no matter how mundane, facing a new fear each day, developing deeper & more meaningful relationships with the people around you, exploring & enjoying the outdoors, setting & meeting new goals, & living charitably so we may grow to understand the abundant nature of the universe.
None of us know how long we have on this Earth, so we are here to be a reminder: live life authentically with passion & purpose.
How we ended up here
Escapism is not a new concept. More than ever, people are seeking ways to find liberation from dead end job on healthy relationships digital technology and the hustle of city life. Co-founder Ryan found himself looking to detach from the LA nightlife circuit he built over the last 15 years. He sought an experience that was lasting and meaningful and created deeper healthier connections with people. By happenstance, he met Heidi, a traveling yoga teacher dedicated to sharing health and wellness to everyone she met. The combination inspired a new way of living which paved the foundation for creating Camp Xanadu, the quintessence of happiness, a place you go to find your tribe, seek inspiration, connect with your inner child and discover Adventure. Today their camp is in its 3rd year and the couple is now engaged to be married in Tulum in May of 2018.

Time is Valuable: Our existence on earth is limited. So take time to do the things you love. Do things that matter. If you do something – commit to it & do it with all your heart.
Deep connections: The more quality relationship you have to people and the earth allows you to a happier, healthier & longer life.
Live with Nature: We believe nature is the best medicine for combating stress, depression, and anxiety. Cherish it, honor it and protect it.
Be BOLD, or Italic: If you let other’s opinions control you, it can grow worse and worse every day until there is nothing left of you, but a shell of yourself. Listen to your inner voice and go with it. Some people may call you crazy, but some may even think you‘re a legend.
Take Action: Take control of your life. Take full responsibility for the things that happen to you. Limit bad habits and try to lead a healthier life. Find a hobby that makes you happy. Most of all, don’t procrastinate. Let your life be shaped by decisions you made, not by the ones you didn’t.
Love Deeply: Appreciate the people around you. Don’t forget to tell them and show them how much you love them. Don’t wait until it’s too late.
Make an Impact: Our wish is that that we leave this world better than it was before us. Do something bigger than yourself. Giving is the best way to a life of happiness.
